This is how the tour works!

You will be picked up directly from your accommodation around 6:00 a.m. and make your way to Chichen-Itza, which is one of the “modern wonders of the world” with its impressive pyramids.

When you arrive at the ruins, you will first go on a historical journey through time with your guide, where you will learn interesting facts about the Mayan culture and their buildings, which have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988. You'll then have enough time to take some great photos or grab one or two souvenirs before continuing on to Valladolid.

Lunch follows in a typical Mexican restaurant (here you can choose from a variety of dishes) before you have enough time to visit the historically important colonial city with its colorful houses and parks.

Finally, a highlight: A cool swim in the water of a beautiful cenote! A welcome refreshment during the hot midday hours. Surrounded by fascinating nature, you can end the day here with a cold drink before we take you safely back to your hotel.

We were picked up from our hotel in Cancun at 5:30 a.m. and driven by minibus to a meeting point in Playa del Carmen. There we transferred to a coach. We were a smaller group, and our tour guide was Edgar (Eddi). Eddi provided us with valuable, important, and very interesting information throughout the trip, giving us a better understanding of the country, its special features, and its history. He did this in excellent German. He gave us a 60-minute tour of Chichén Itzá, and afterward, we had plenty of time to take photos and visit a cenote and an observatory. There are many stalls there where Mayan people sell their wares.

After Chichén Itzá, we drove to a cenote (a huge underground cave). The water was wonderfully refreshing; you can jump in or climb the steps. There, we had lunch from the buffet, which was very varied and delicious.

Afterwards, we drove to Valladolid. There, we walked through a park, visited the church, and then bought a few souvenirs. We stayed there for about an hour.

Then we made our way back to the hotel. We felt safe and can highly recommend the trip.
Oh, maybe you could take a snack and a drink with you for the road.

Our trip to Chichen-Itza was great.
From booking to the actual tour, everything went smoothly. Our guide, Collin, was well-informed and made the tour fun.
The visit to the cenote was also very interesting.
A quick tip: Be sure to try the ice cream in Valladolid. It's incredibly delicious.

We booked online, and everything went perfectly. We were picked up from our hotel on time. There was a meeting point where we were split into two buses, one speaking German and English, the other in other languages. We had a very experienced and very funny tour guide; best regards to Markus! Viktor and the bus driver Papaja were also really great! The Mayan pyramids and the cenotes were absolutely amazing! Markus was able to tell us a lot about them; the trip was truly very interesting.

Always happy to do it again and of course 100% recommendable.

Eine super tolle Tour und sehr interessant!

Schon die Buchung und die Bezahlung der Tour lief problemlos ab. Und auch der Kontakt mit Kai war sehr freundlich und zuverlässig.
Wir wurden dann morgens pünktlich in unserem Hotel von Markus abgeholt. Ein deutschsprachiger und sehr freundlicher Reiseleiter, der stets um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht war und uns mit sehr vielen Informationen zu Mexiko versorgte.. nach einem kurzen Zwischenstopp mit einem kleinen Snack, kamen wir in Chichen Itza an und haben vor Ort alles ausführlich erklärt bekommen. Die Anlagen waren super toll anzusehen.
Anschließend ging es weiter nach Valadoid, eine sehr hübsche Stadt und auch hier sehr viel Wissen von Markus.
Nach ein wenig Freizeit vor Ort sind wir dann zu einer sehr schönen Cenote gefahren, um uns abzukühlen. Ein faszinierender Ort. Hier gab es auch ein sehr leckeres und abwechslungsreiches Mittags-Buffet. Danach ging es wieder ins Hotel zurück.
Es war ein sehr schöner und gelungener Ausflug, den wir jederzeit empfehlen können und würden aus auch immer wieder bei CocoTours buchen.

Ein Muss für jeden Mexico Urlauber

Eine tolle Tour, aber auch sehr anstrengend. Chichen Itza ist sehr beeindruckend und unser Guide Markus hat uns über alles tip top aufgeklärt. Valladolid ist leider mit 30 Minuten zu kurz gekommen, außer der Kirche und dem Rathaus haben wir leider von der schönen Kolonialstadt nicht viel gesehen., was allerdings auch der Streiks in Valladolid geschuldet war. Dann ging es weiter zu einer traumhaften cenote in der wir das Glück hatten mit unserer Gruppe alleine zu sein. Abschluss war ein einheimisches Mittagessen

Wunderschöner Ausflug

Der Ausflug war wunderschön,lustig und sehr entspannt. Essen war wirklich gut. Haben insgesamt 3 Touren gebucht.
Wir hatten einen Deutsch / italienischen Bus und es war sehr entspannt und lustig
Meine Mädels waren alle begeistert.
Können wir noch empfehlen.

Wir haben am 11.03.2025 mit Euch die Tour erleben dürfen. Vielen Dank an Euer Team und vor allem Viktor für seine kompetente Begleitung durch den Tag.

Schöne und interessante Tour

Wurde pünktlich um 5 Uhr am Hotel abgeholt und zum Treffpunkt gefahrenen. Ca 1,5 bis 2h dort wurden wir ja nach sprache in verschiedenen busse verteilt. Und nochmal 2,5h bis Chichen-Itzá das eigentliche highlight ist etwas knapp in der Zeit bemessen da es um den Hauptpempel viele weitere Sachen zu entdecken gibt.
Valladolid wurde eine halbe Stunde ein Shopping stopp eingelegt den wir nicht unbedingt gebraucht hätten.
Zuletzt gibt es zur Cenote mit später Mittagessen im Mayadorf. Die cenote mit kristallklarem Wasser war in einer großen Tropfsteinhöhle mit etwas kalten Wasser. Gegen 22 Uhr waren wir wieder im Hotell da wir Pech hatten und auf dem Rückweg in einem Stau geraten sind aber die Tour kann man absolut empfehlen.
