Your guide will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning and make your way to Valladolid. Once there, the tour begins with a walk through the colorful weekly market in the colonial town. Here you get an insight into the everyday life of the city's residents and can taste one or two exotic fruits.
This is followed by a panoramic tour of the historic center of the city before continuing to the archaeological zone of Ek Balam.
The impressive buildings of Ek-Balam were built around 700-1000 AD and are now almost the only Mayan ruins that are still open to tourists. The climb is worth it! Once you reach the top, you'll have a great view of the subtropical jungle! Of course, our guides are archaeologically certified and can tell you lots of interesting facts about Ek-Balam!
Lunch is served around 2:00 p.m. You can choose between various traditional Mexican dishes at the buffet before visiting a wonderful cenote and refreshing yourself in the crystal clear water.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Tag mit unserem Reiseleiter Markus! Der Ausflug begann mit einem Besuch des Marktes in Valladolid, wo wir die Vielfalt und Frische der regionalen Produkte bestaunen konnten. Danach ging es ins charmante Stadtzentrum, wo wir die Gelegenheit hatten, einen Festumzug mitzuerleben – ein echtes Highlight!
Weiter führte uns Markus nach Ek Balam, wo wir die Pyramide erklimmen durften und mit einem atemberaubenden Blick über den Dschungel belohnt wurden. Der Besuch der Cenote war der perfekte Abschluss: erfrischend, wunderschön angelegt und fernab der Massen.
Markus war ein außergewöhnlicher Guide, der mit seinem Wissen und seiner Begeisterung den Tag unvergesslich gemacht hat. Er gab sich sehr viel Mühe von jedem von uns das perfekte Bild zu schießen. Wir können diese Tour nur wärmstens empfehlen – es war ein perfekter Tag!

Marktbesuch und Stadtbesuch in Valladolid, Pyramidenblick (begehbar) in Ek Balam – und ein erfrischender Cenotenbesuch. Perfekt!
Wir hatten einen herrlichen Ausflug, beginnend mit dem Marktbesuch in Valladolid...wo wir die Vielfalt und Frische des einheimischen Obst,- und Gemüsemarktes erleben konnten, keine Touristen-Preise:)... anschließend ging es noch ins Stadtzentrum wo wir den Feiertagsumzug miterleben durften. Unser Guide Markus war eine absolute Bereicherung!
Danach ging es weiter nach EK Balam... wir stiegen auf die Pyramide und hatten einen wahnsinnig schönen Ausblick über den Dschungel.
Es waren sehr wenige Touristen unterwegs... die Tour hat uns fast besser gefallen als Chichen Itza. Der Besuch der Cenote mit der sehr schönen Anlage hat uns wunderbar gefallen... wir hatten ein traumhaft schönen Tag!
